Garage Tuning
first opened it's garage door (quite literally back then) to do Subaru engine
swaps. Since our first swap, we have gone on to do more swaps than anyone in the
country. From Japanese spec EJ20G to USDM STi swaps with fully functioning DCCD
and immobilizer systems, we've done it all. While we can do full dashboard
swaps, we prefer not to due to safety and fitment issues. Swapping engines with
a modern Subaru is much more involved than just swapping the engine out. The
entire dashboard is removed to allow merging of the 2 wiring harnesses. With
other brands of automobiles, the merging is merely with the engine. The Subaru
wiring is much more involved and spider webs throughout the car. Once we are
finished wiring, the car is as reliable as if the car came equipped with the
replacement engine from the factory.
Pricing:
We do not supply American motors for swaps. We refer you to a reliable supplier
that we have used for many years now. Prices listed are an estimate, as engine
prices vary. Labor for the swap is $3000.

This option is only available at this price when installing a JDM engine.
Converting a car without a JDM engine and harness is possible, but will cost
$5000 as there are many parts to be sourced and serious wiring harness
modifications are needed.
